Soul Step Records Announces SSR-105!

Soul Step Records are back to announce a brand new artist to the Soul Step Records roster and what will be a classic installment in the “Footprint Series” that focuses on Appalachian & Country artists. We will be bringing the debut album from Kentucky singer-songwriter Charlie Overman.

Charlie Overman has deep interests in old-time music, folk songwriters, traditional country music, and vintage rock and roll and punk. Charlie has synthesized his influences into a rich batch of original songs. They each tell his own unique stories as he builds his lyrically driven country music.

Charlie Overman and his self titled album is recommended for fans of Tyler Childers, John Prine, and Sturgill Simpson. Charlie is truly Kentucky to his core. That Kentucky authenticity seeps all the way into the grooves of this LP. Charlie’s detail in his songwriting has such deep Prine influences and showcases a skill that far outpaces Charlie’s young age.
